Analysis of my shots.

The first shot we see is of a girl sat in a cafe: she is eating, talking and looking through her bag with a sense of disinterest. The shot is a mid-shot with mise-en scene such as cake displayed.

The second shot we see is of 3 takes of a girl lighting a match. The shot is a close up of her hands.

The third shot/scene is of a girl sat on the bench smoking. The shot is slightly slanted and is a mid long shot. It shows uncertainty in what would be a stable shot and suggests maybe things aren't what they appear to be.

The fourth is an extreme close up of the girl she blinks and the camera cuts. The girl is smiling and seems 'smug'. The reason for the close up could suggest a sense of vulnerability that the girl may usually not open up to.

The shot is of a girl playing with her hair and laughing, she has a cigarette in her hand and seems quite happen in the environment she is in. The camera angle is tilted down and slanted into a mid-shot, suggesting to that we are looking down at her, physically and metaphorically.

The next scene is of a girl riding on a bike through the countryside. And so is the second take, she seems free-willed and happy. The camera follows her for a couple of seconds and cuts.

The next scene is of a boy and a girl walking through a tunnel. I have elongated the shot so I can give myself more freedom when I am editing. It is a long shot of them walking towards the camera, the camera moves slightly endearing to the audience that is it a low budget production, much like the genre of French New Wave. The boy notices that his shoe lace is undone and bends down to do it up, the girl them runs up behind him and kicks him over.
The second take is the once I shall use.

The next shot is the side profile of a girl lighting a cigarette. She holds the match to her cigarette and inhales and exhales in a cool manner. There is a rule of two thirds shot suggesting that she is looking at someone whilst lighting her cigarette.

The next shot is a close up of a boy looking down with a cigarette in his mouth. It suggests that he is busy doing something. The next shot is a tilted mid-shot of the boy with a cigarette in his hand, he looks confused and is talking. Once again this suggests a sense of uncertainty throughout the trailer. Something definitely isn't what it seems.

The next shot is of two girls walking arm in arm through the countryside laughing, it is a long shot with them walking towards the camera which suggests they are going somewhere in a nonchalant manner and are care-free individuals.

The next shot is a rule of two thirds with a girl smoking. She is looking away worrying from the left hand-side of the shot suggesting there is something there she does not want to see. The next shot is a mid-long shot of a girl walking away from the camera. She turns around to look at something past the camera and then continues walking. This suggests that she is moving on from something and feels better for it.

The shot after this is of the boy walking through the woods, he turns around confused and unsure of what is going on. He looks past the camera suggest that he is not sure of his path.

This shot is of the boy once again walking more surely of himself, the sun is shining through the trees and it seems as if he knows where he is going.

The next shot is of a girl popping out from behind a tree looking surprised and happy. The camera is looking up at the girl suggesting that she is (slightly) more superior ecause she is sure of herself and has the ability to make fun of herself.

The next shot is of three people walking away from the camera. The camera does not follow them as they are walking away, it shows that they have a sense of unity and that they now know the path that they want to take.

The next shot is of the 3 people running towards the camera, they are laughing and seem carefree.

The next shot is of a girl riding on her bide through the countryside once again. The camera pans with her.

After this there is a shot of the girl laughing and smiling walking towards the camera with her bike. It is a mid-long shot and lasts about 30 seconds, this is so I can keep my freedom of editing.

The final shot is where the camera is looking over the shoulder of the girl who is looking in the mirror. She is playing with her hair and then she turns around to look at someone beyond the camera's gaze.
